Current Supported Architecture
All DOC Systems require, at a minimum, two server class computers running:
- Microsoft Windows Server OS
- Microsoft SQL Server
Additionally, a separate server with a Microsoft Windows Server OS and Microsoft SQL Server is required to maintain database availability.
All DOC Systems require, at a minimum, one workstation class computer running:
- Microsoft Windows OS
Additional workstations may be added to support additional users.
All computers must be configured as a single domain.
DOC Software Support Policy
At the time of system purchase, DOC Software customers with on-premise systems will be given pricing to purchase a software maintenance and technical support agreement that includes yearly software upgrades. Hosted agreements automatically include software maintenance and technical support.
All on-premise customers with software maintenance agreements will be updated with a frequency of one update per year unless otherwise specified in the agreement, resulting in their software remaining under support. This requires all computer hardware and operating system and database software being within the Operating System and SQL Support Policy Guidelines.
All hosted customers will be updated with a frequency of one update per year unless otherwise specified in their agreement, resulting in their software remaining under support.
In order to provide the best support experience possible and allow Tracsis to innovate with new technologies, should an on-premise customer choose not to purchase a maintenance contract with a yearly upgrade option, a specific version of the DOC Software will go through the following lifecycle:
Months after version release | Support Period | Notes |
0-12 | Warranty | Part of original contract. Warranty items only with Technical Support during office hours only and no service level guarantee. |
13-24 | Support | Technical support and software patches are not available. Initiating a Software Maintenance and Technical support agreement is available with an additional charge to cover the previously unsupported periods. |
25+ | End of Life | Technical support and software patches are not available. Initiating a Software Maintenance and Technical Support Agreement is no longer offered. To initiate a Software Maintenance and Technical Support Agreement a new license purchase may be required. |
Tracsis reserves the right to upgrade the software version in order to correct defects discovered during the Warranty period. Any hardware, operating system, or third-party software upgrades required for the software upgrade will be at customer’s expense.
For any features or software changes requested by the customer, Tracsis reserves the right to upgrade the DOC software version, which may result in non-related functionality changes. Prior to feature development, the customer may request a list of changes that will affect their system. Tracsis has system changes available in the form of DOC Version Release Notes, which will be provided upon request.
Tracsis is responsible for the DOC software application, and incidental operating system support related to the DOC software application.
The customer is responsible for the following:
- Providing Tracsis personnel direct remote access to each on-premise computer that uses the DOC software application.
- All underlying network architecture and infrastructure.
- Hardware maintenance for each on premise server, and workstation that uses the DOC software application.
- Hardware troubleshooting for each on-premise server, and workstation that uses the DOC software application.
Operating System and SQL Support Policy
DOC supports the current version of the Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft SQL Server. The two previous versions of Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft SQL Server will be supported until three years prior to the end of Microsoft’s extended support period. If the need to support any other version outside of these supported versions arises, the need at hand will be evaluated in a case by case basis to determine if Tracsis is able to help and identify associated additional cost to support.
DOC will support new versions of Microsoft Windows within 6 months of the OEM release date, after they pass our Quality Assurance process. Tracsis reserves the right to delay support for a new version of Microsoft Windows or Microsoft SQL Server if changes in either product prevent it from passing our Quality Assurance process without significant modifications to Tracsis software.
